We cannot understate the importance of the colour red in quilting. Red is often the anchor colour in traditional Log Cabin Quilts, for example, appearing in the centre of each block. Red and White quilts, as in the photo above, are very popular and in a category of their own. Historically, however, finding red fabric that did not fade was not always easy.
