The Western Branch of the Irish Patchwork Society (IPS) will hold a quilt exhibition in the Visitors’ Centre of the Connemara National Park (Letterfrack) during August. The exhibition, “Quilts in the Park”, runs from 14 to 25 August 2026. On Opening Day, 14 August, hours are from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. with the Grand Opening at 5 p.m. Thereafter, daily hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The 18″ x 18″ quilted works on display will capture and celebrate the many different aspects of the park. For example, its history, its flora and fauna, its majestic landscapes, and its Connemara pony centre.
There will also be a live demonstration on quilting. Stop by and learn about quilting, see the themed quilts on display, and visit the beautiful Connemara National Park.
