The Trip Around the World pattern is a very traditional design.  There are so many traditional quilt blocks and patterns that it is difficult to choose which ones to use.  One of my favourite patterns is the “Trip Around the World”.  It is definitely a challenge to cut and sew the myriad number of small squares needed to put this one together.  Getting the seams lined up perfectly can be very tricky!

This well-known patchwork quilt pattern has numerous small, individual blocks.   They come together to form a concentric diamond pattern travelling around the centre block.  Hence the name “Trip Around the World”.  The particular quilting pattern on this quilt forms several illusions with its continuous curved quilting design.  This bed quilt fits a standard size single bed and is extra long to allow for a pillow tuck. The 100% cotton quilting fabric and the 80% cotton/20% polyester batting make this a very cosy quilt.  Machine washable and tumble dryer safe.  Bed skirt not included.
