These lovely lavender throw cushion covers demonstrate a special technique called couching.  To put it simply, couching is laying one fiber over another for decorative purposes.  In this instance, these cushions have a beautiful design on the front in a soft shade of heather yarn.  The sewing stitches do not show on the front at all, but only on the back in a neat, clean design.  The top of each cushion cover consists of three layers–the top lavender fabric, a layer of wadding, and then a layer of muslin–all in 100% cotton.  Zigzag stitching all around the seam allowance of the cushion cover tops gives a nice, clean finish on the inside.  The back of each cushion has an envelope closure in which to insert a cushion pad/form (not included).  These lovely throw cushion covers will fit a 40cm/16″ square cushion pad.  Machine washable.
