The Festival of Quilts is Europe’s biggest patchwork and quilting event. It takes place yearly at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, England. This year it runs from 30th July – 2nd August. Opening hours are Thursday-Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The organisers are expecting more than 22,000 people to attend over the four days. Festival of Quilts is home to the largest open quilt competition in the world. In addition, it is the largest programme of workshops and talks offered anywhere in Europe. What is more, it hosts some of the leading quilt artists from around the globe. Each year, we showcase extraordinary creativity from some of the most influential quilt artists working today, including Joe Cunningham, Stuart Hillard, L’Merchie Frazier, Ricky Tims, Jenny Doan, and many more from around the globe.
