In last month's newsletter, I said that I would be adding some new items to the Shop in case you might be looking for a special Christmas present. I must apologise for not having done so. Uploading new items onto the website takes more time than one might think. I was very busy in my workshop, and time just got the better of me. Have you ever heard of a tea towel boa? I have to admit that I never knew what one was until I saw them in a shop several years ago. A tea towel boa is worn around the neck and is very handy to use in the kitchen. No more looking for where you last put down that tea towel. It's around your neck! A tea towel boa is very easy to make. You don't need to be a quilter. If you have a sewing machine and know how to use it, you can make one.

In a Bind
|
|
|
|
Most quilt patterns end with the phrase "bind quilt to finish" — but what does that really mean? Those instructions infer that one knows how to bind a quilt. It's the last step in the quilting process, and it's a very important one. Without binding, your quilt will not hold together, especially after washing. There are several different methods for binding a quilt. I have used many of these along the way. I even have a binding foot for my machine, which I use occasionally.
