Using Cork in Quilts

Using cork in quilts?  Seriously??

Sticking with the theme of sustainability, I would like to mention cork.  Cork is a natural fibre, and it has many more uses other than simply as a stopper for a bottle of wine!

For example, many industries already use cork in their manufacturing operations.  In addition, cork is growing more popular as a component for sewing and quilting.

Therefore, why not add a bit to your stash?  I haven’t tried it yet myself, but would love to give it a go at some point.

In this article for “Quilting Hub”, Debi Warner briefly describes cork’s qualities and gives some helpful tips on using it in quilting.
